Synopsis: Amila is a 9-year-old girl who has suffered several health problems since birth. Lately she has fainted on various occasions and experienced constant headaches. Accordingly, she has been checked into hospital (yet again) but her stay there is dragging on. However, at the hospital Amila has the opportunity of seeing her best friends frequently. Two of them are Fede and Mai, who go over to the hospital now and then because it is there where Fede receives his physiotherapy sessions as he suffers from "brittle bone". Mai is his inseparable sister . Amila’s third friend is Xabier (they call him “Hairy”), who is waiting for a bone-marrow transplant. The days in the hospital are long and tedious but the four friends always try to amuse themselves with the help of Lorentzo, the head of maintenance.
