With 27 distinct film/AV markets, Europe is a mosaic of rich stories waiting to be told. As international co-productions surge, the EU revisits the role of territorial exclusivity. Can we secure this long-standing pillar of film/AV funding? Can cross-border partnerships still foster cultural and linguistic diversity amid this regulatory pressure? Cannes Next I Auschwitz Memorial Announcing Certified Virtual Film Location I Presented by AB Foundation 80 years after the liberation of the German Nazi concentration & extermination camp Auschwitz, with fewer survivors and growing global visitor numbers to the Memorial, technology should help in preserving the symbol of the Shoah. It can also be used to create groundbreaking tools for filmmaking based on authenticity.
