As you may already know, we have made the unprecedented decision to transport the Marché du Film 2020 to the digital sphere.

We are aware of the challenges at stake and we are doing our utmost to offer film industry professionals from all over the world creative alternatives to facilitate business and networking. The Marché du Film Online will therefore recreate the market experience in Cannes, with live and real-time screenings, events and meetings. It will be held from Monday 22 to Friday 26 June.

Our team is mobilized to respond with creativity and innovation to support film industry professionals. We therefore already wish to share some features of the Marché du Film Online that we are particularly looking forward to:

Stop by our virtual booths

Sales companies will be able to connect with buyers and to display their new films and projects-in-progress in an online dedicated space serving as a digital equivalent to their booths in Cannes.

Attend online screenings

Completed films, promos and project presentations will be programmed according to set schedules in 15 virtual cinemas - screening schedules will be adapted to different time zones.

Visit virtual pavilions

Institutions from all over the world will present their film commissions, national cinematography and film locations, support their producers and organize meetings in a virtual space as if they were in their pavilion in the Village International.

Cannes Docs will recreate part of its essence online with specialized exhibitors, showcases of docs-in-progress from all around the world, 1:1 meetings, industry presentations and virtual get-togethers.

Marchedufilm.online will be based on proven and reliable technologies: Cinando (Shift72) for online screenings with strict security measures - DRM, individual watermark and real-time monitoring of admissions - and Match&Meet (Talque) for video meetings.

 
 
 

 

 

Accreditations for the Marché du Film Online will open on May 4 for industry professionals at an early bird rate of €95 until May 29 and €195 normal rate after that - including a one-year subscription to Cinando.
