Deauville Festival Of American Film
49th FESTIVAL DU CINÉMA AMÉRICAIN DE DEAUVILLE 1- 10 September, 2023 Since its creation in 1975, the Deauville American Film Festival has been both showcasing the diversity of American cinema, from major Hollywood productions to independent films, and continuously revealing new talent. It is organised every year by the Le Public Système Cinéma and the Centre International de Deauville, and presents over 100 films to audiences in three different sites: the Centre International de Deauville, the Deauville Lucien Barrière Casino, and the Deauville Le Morny Cinema. The Festival is an event open to everyone, professionals and cinema enthusiasts alike. Frederic Golchan with Philippe Augier Mayor of Deauville Frederic and I have crossed paths in so many film festivals and markets (Cannes, AFM, Locarno Deauville...) We have graduated from the same business school, we keep meeting in good company... Herewith a brief improptu video interview in FRenglish, in Deauville on the beach, next to Geena Davis busy inaugurating her cabin and giving out interviews... I had watched Thelma and Louise that day and was still impressed how modern itwas and still is. I released a few films where she pyaed in my Sony days including a league of her own... Bruno Chatelin
