The FNC will celebrate its 50th edition from October 6 to 17, 2021 creating an international co-production market

THE FNC IS ORGANISING A CO-PRODUCTION MARKET TO CELEBRATE ITS 50TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION!

To continue to support emerging voices and outstanding works of cinema from all around the world, the Festival is creating an international co-production market that will take place online from October 7 to 10, 2021. In partnership with the LuxFilm Fest in Luxembourg, this first edition of the market, the first of its kind in Canada, will present ten feature film works (European, Canadian and from emerging territories), as well as virtual and augmented reality at different stages of production, in order to put in touch producers and professionals to set up international co-productions. The market will allow the FNC to consolidate its ties with the industry, while strengthening its role as a talent-discoverer of new voices.

For this special online edition, meeting and pitch sessions between project leaders and producers will be organized. Our selection includes feature film projects at an advanced stage of development and virtual and augmented reality projects. Please note, that we will not be launching any call for projects for the Market.

More details will be announced shortly.

FNC FORUM 2021

Considered as a meeting place and an efficient tool for professionals in the film industry, the FNC Forum focuses its 2021 activities on innovation.

The last few years have left a messy, complex and different film industry to work-in. The FNC Forum 2021 will thus support industry professionals to rethink this future with this new cinema in the making.

We prepare panels, round tables and master classes with local and international professionals who are at the forefront of the latest advances and holders of new ideas and solutions. They will make us discover the transformations underway in the film industry, as well as in other sectors such as the environment, sociology or journalism, in order to offers some food for thought and avenues to explore and better anticipate the realities that lie ahead. Following the success of the previous years, we are glad to offer you networking activities and pitch sessions, such as the Pitch premières oeuvres and the First Cut Lab presented by Netflix.

More details will be announced shortly.
