French Riviera Film FestivalMay 2023, Cannes, FranceThe annual French Riviera Film Festival (FRFF) recognizes and celebrates short-form content created for film, television, Web and all digital platforms. In the glamorous South of France setting, FRFF invites filmmakers from around the globe to participate in the two-day festival that includes screenings, awards ceremony, and closing gala party. FRFF will place the spotlight on the best short-form filmed content during the time period of the annual Festival de Cannes. A prestigious jury panel will select Best Drama Short, Best Comedy Short, Best Documentary Short, Best Animation Short, Best Experimental Short, Best Lifestyle Short, Best Fashion Short, Best Music Video, Best Activism Short, Best Female Filmmaker Award, Best Director Award, Best Actor Award, Best Actress Award, and Industry Excellence Award. filmcapital.io’s First Project is Feature COVID-2021, co-produced with BC Entertainment Group, by Director Bob Cook, and Starring Robert Carradine (Lizzie McGuire, Revenge of the Nerds), Diane Delano, Barry Godin, Darby Hilton, Rudy Ramos (Yellowstone, Resurrection Blvd.) and Felissa Rose Created to address a pressing need within the independent film finance space, the co-production platform FilmCapital (filmcapital.io) has officially opened its doors, the announcement was made today by co-founders Ali M. Aksu and Aya Kikimova.
Described as a digital launch pad for independent content, filmcapital.io is a co-production platform that scouts highly-vetted indie film and TV projects, and incubates them into final productions. The company acts as an executive producer, providing access to funding through its platform, as well as budgeting, marketing, and more, allowing the creative visionaries to focus on the actual art of filmmaking and content creation. filmcapital.io's massive transformative purpose is to empower filmmakers at heart.
Namer comments, “When I heard about filmcapital.io, I was immediately intrigued by the concept for a new way to help the indie filmmakers get their projects realized. I have extensive experience in this space as a founder of Metan Global Film Fund I and as an executive producer of many feature film projects.
