Sandra Bullock fans can rejoice that America’s Sweetheart is back in a pure escapism romp for these tough times; that would be THE LOST CITY from Paramount Pictures. Opening this coming week, with March dates below, THE LOST CITY is sort of “Romancing the Stone” meets Indiana Jones meets a Harlequin romance novel. Just Watch the Trailer First
But the personality driving this project is all Sandy at her finest. Meaning she is a producer, and in front of the camera as that comedic gem audiences have come to love. Then there’s Channing Tatum, coming into this project with all his Magic Mike feathers out. And perhaps there is some person in the world who doesn’t speak “Brad Pitt’ but as of pre-Pandemic 2019? Business Insider answered its own headline as in: “Brad Pitt: How He Became the Most Famous Actor in the World.” No offense to Tom Cruise, who probably has held that title longer than anyone else, but in his THE LOST CITY cameo, put hair extensions on the most famous ex and Mr. & Mrs. Smith star? Forget Chris Hemsworth, Pitt is the original male blond bombshell in Hollywood. Oh wait, the plot? Who needs a story with all this A-List? Okay, here’s the story… Harry Potter, no Daniel Radcliffe plays an impeccably dressed British Billionaire villain who abducts loner-writer Sandra Bullock, who pens rom-coms that feature Dash (Channing Tatum) a (no surprise here) sexy male model. How Brad Pitt shows up with flowing tresses in body armor is as yet-to-be-determined, but who cares, right? Adam Nee and Aaron Nee direct here, with screenplay by both of them and Oren Uziel and Dana Fox. Sandy produced with Lisa Chasin and Seth Gordon, who also has story credit. The executive producers are JJ Hook, Dana Fox, Julia Gunn, Margaret Chernin. THE LOST CITY also stars Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Oscar Nuñez, Patti Harrison, and Bowen Yang. Since events in the Urkaine are so dire right now, here’s a little Hollywood behind-the-scenes for viewers everywhere, who need a pick-me-up, as we weather the storms of real life. The fine print is? Fandango Premiere screenings will be held at 225 theaters, and on March 19th, a week before ithe movie’s only-in-theaters wide release date on March 25th. Tickets for this limited big-screen event are now on sale, only at Fandango. Visit here. #THELOSTCITY Go Sandy! :) # # # 17.03.2022 | Quendrith Johnson's blog Cat. : PEOPLE
