MISMFF 2022, 06: Sweat, anxiety, sleepless nights and dedicated hard work A film festival cannot be held without a team of dedicated organisers and workers. Many of them spend sleepless nights, are at a high level of anxiety months before the event and spend sleepless nights, once the inauguration date approaches. This is true of the Mestia International Short & Mountain Film Festival (MISMFF) too. And if the team is relatively small, as is the case at MISMFF, the responsibilities are bigger. I have had occasion to interact with only one member of the team, Salome ‘Sal’ Chokheli, and she left no stone unturned in providing me all the required information, co-ordinating my efforts in getting a visa for Georgia, and much more. Let us give due credit to the behind the scenes woman and men, who made this festival possible. Gegi Paliani Gegi is Khatuna’s partner. He graduated from Shota Rustaveli State Theatre University, Faculty of Drama and Cinema, in 1996. Since 1997, he has been working in Tbilisi, at the Theatrical Vault, and at the Tbilisi Nodar Dumbadze State Youth Theatre, during 2010-2017. Besides, he is also a Director of the People's and Folklore Theatre, named after Leo Pilpani, and a Director of Mestia Culture and Art Center, which is the co-organiser of MISMFF. He lives in Mestia. Elia Pharsadanishvili Elia holds the position of a specialist in editing, film restoration and colour grading. He is also the Technical Manager, and Visual Supervisor of MISMFF.
