The law of Karma is this: For every event that occurs, there will follow another event whose existence was caused by the first and when the opportunity presents itself, your Karma debt will come due for you to pay.
No longer the unseen force of retribution, Karma takes on the form of a mysterious woman, who comes to town bearing gifts. Gifts of tragedy, horror, deceit, all the things you put out into the universe for her to hear she is bringing back to you! Your debt is due and Karma is coming to collect. And when it comes time to ante up, you'll find she is a "Real" bitch.
Our pilot episode consists of 3 short stories, with each show thereafter focusing on one individual, while introducing the next individual for the following episode within the storyline.
Our first story and pilot episode begins with Scott Emerson, a stock broker who has been cheating on is wife for more than two years. Scott doesn't want kids right now so when his wife surprises him with news of a baby, Scott feels his life is all but ended. Six months later during child birth his wife falls into a coma only for Scott to realize how much he loves his wife and newborn son, and is now ready to abandon his wreckless way. But when the baby is born with a sever aliment he find out that what was once good for the goose, was also good for the gander.
In our second story: Matthew a Chicago cop, moved his brother Calvin from Chicago at a young age to the Michigan suburbs to keep him away from the harsh realities of Chicago's south side violence, drugs and gangs. But when his brother now 27, falls in love and plans to marry a women he know little about, Matt calls in a favor to find out who she is, but finds the tables turn when his informant unearths a secret about Matt, he has kept keep hidden for 15 years.
In our third story: Carol Hopkins, is a doating wife to her sick husband Lucas. Her second husband. She also has a penchant for living the champagne and caviar life on a wine and cheese budget. While an investigation is being opened after her husband mysterious dies, Carol meets a financial planner at a bar, who warms his way into her life. But she is in for a rude awakening when she devises a plan to make him husband number three.
The series aims to tape into the karmic debt that we all face in life, due to our misdeeds and also our good deeds. Good and bad.
