Film Festivals
Anilogue is an annual international animation festival taking place in Budapest, Hungary and Vienna, Austria. The short film official competition of the festival is open for European animated short films with a maximum length of 20 minutes. The festival also has a feature film competition for films over 50 minutes.
5th edition of Latin America's most prestigious animation festival, open to feature and short films produced for theatre, TV, video or the Internet. Special interest: independent animation, school productions, Latin American films. No entry fee.
Anima, The Brussels Animation Film Festival, seeks to promote animated films from all over the world and encourage dialogue between professionals, filmmakers and the public.
The Festival presents an Official Selection with a national and international competition for short and feature films, an information category with retrospective and themed programmes and a series of conferences entitled Futuranima.
Anima comprises eight official categories:
1) International professional short films
2) International student films
3) International children's short films
4) Feature films
5) Feature films for children
6) Belgian short films
7) "Animated Night" short films
8) Music videos and commercials (non competitive)
The Festival nominates a selection of films from its European prizewinners for the Cartoon d'Or and is also qualified by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for the short animated film category.
Anima does not have a film market
The animation festival of Latin America offering best of independent animation, recent studio productions and important retros. Main goal is to present diversity of animation styles, techniques and subject matter. Internet animation competition.
Eleven prizes, valuated at 22000 €, will award the animated creativity. The contestants upload their short movies, spots, pilots… In addition, there are other five special prizes and two grants.
In its second year, Animal Film Festival (AFF) is the only global fest of its kind, seeking specifically animal-themed films in every category. AFF is held at a beautiful and state of the art theater in the heart of the Sierra Nevada foothills in Grass Valley, California. AFF kicks off with an invitation only party the night before the fest - serving delicious catered vegan food and beverages. Filmmakers are provided with free lodging (as available) and VIP treatment throughout the fest. Audience discussions follow films where the filmmakers are present. Each filmmaker receives a gift bag loaded with animal friendly products. Best of all, the films screened at Animal Film Festival go far in changing people's minds and treatment of animals. This is a win win for our audience and animals.
AFF seeks films that bring awareness about the realities animals face in the world today. The stories showcased in documentary, scripted, feature and short films will be engaging, funny, edgy, beautiful and inspirational. The festival seeks to explore topics about companion animals, wildlife, animals in entertainment, farming, and laboratories. We are looking for films that highlight ways our society celebrates our relationships with non humans, as well as films showing the ways we mistreat them. Animal Film Festival aims to not only entertain audiences but to propel people into action to change their own lives as well as the animals effected.
Awards & Prizes
Awards are given in the categories of Feature, Short and Student. The awards last year included a framed certificate listing the filmmaker(s) and the title of their film/category. Each filmmaker also received a gift bag filled with animal friendly products.
Animarte showcases the best animation shorts from around the world and brings them to cities throughout South America. Already three major cities have been confirmed for our fourth edition: Buenos Aires, Argentina; Mendoza, Argentina and Viña del Mar, Chile. We continue to work hard to add more cities to our tour!
Animarte is open to animated and mixed media shorts with a duration of 15 minutes or less. There is no entry or registration fee and all animation techniques are accepted.

Festival qui nous invite à voyager durant quelques jours au coeur de l`Asie et de l`animation.
The Barbican`s 5th annual festival of animated films for children showcases new animated feature films and shorts from around the world, together with workshops and special events.
Animated Eden is Cumbria’s first international short animation festival!
The day will include animated short film screenings both local and worldwide, talks and Q&A animators, live music accompanying animation and puppets. Barry Purves will be headlining with talks and screenings. There will also be The Art of Wallace and Gromit exhibition with sets, animation stations, art, storyboard processes and screenings.
It will take place in Rheged Centre and at a different venue for the evening event.
