Verzaubert is an international queer filmfestival
touring through four german cities: Munich,
Frankfurt, Cologne and Berlin.
Verzio International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival is the only human rights documentary film festival in Hungary, organized yearly since 2004. Verzio aims to promote open society, democratic values, rule-of-law, freedom of expression, political and cultural pluralism as well as to expose abuse and human rights violations throughout the world by presenting quality, creative documentaries.
For the last 12 years Verzio grew dynamically, has screened more than 600 documentaries attracting altogether over 70,000 visitors. The program includes creative, exceptional documentary films which undertake important issues such as poverty, civil wars, war crimes, terrorism, crisis zones, political oppression, freedom of press, minorities, nationalism, xenophobia, racism, discrimination, migration, integration, equal rights, women’s rights, feminism, gender roles, sexual diversity, socialization of children and young people, drug abuse, corruption, domestic violence, people living in the margins of society, exclusion of the disabled and the sick or stereotypes.

Verzio International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival is committed to presenting quality creative documentaries. It seeks to promote the ideals of open society, democracy, rule-of-law, tolerance, political and cultural pluralism within a global context as well as to expose abuse and human rights' violations throughout the world. During nine days, Videoex presents in its 24th edition more than 150 international and Swiss works. In addition to the extensive competition, it curates retrospectives, special programs, discussions and a supporting program of live acts and installations. Various workshops will introduce adults as well as children and young people to the medium of film. From Switzerland, we will be showing the experimental and Super 8 films of Zurich filmmaker Anka Schmid, which were made in the turbulent 1980s, as part of the CH Focus. Artist and this year's Artist Focus Rosa Barba creates sculptural, bizarrely beautiful images of human inscriptions in nature. For the Artist Specials, three artists will be represented at the festival: Lawrence Abu Hamdan makes forensic hearing visible, Neïl Beloufa tells of content decomposition and colonialism by means of a formal break with cinematic conventions, and Basma Alsharif interweaves geopolitical landscapes such as her native Palestine with human existence. While the Swiss and International Competitions provide a representative snapshot of experimental filmmaking, the major guest program Arab Wave is dedicated to the artistic and cinematic works of the Arab Mediterranean.
