The Independent Television Festival presented by Comcast Announces 2007 Contest
ITVFest is the festival where innovation, ingenuity and independent television converge.
In July 2006 the ITVFest opened for business and began to alter the way the industry views independent production by exploring television as a true artistic medium.
In its successful inaugural year, the festival hosted more then five thousand industry professionals, giving them the opportunity to experience the finest independent pilots that North America had to offer. The superior work and the support of institutions like Comcast, Current TV, Brightcove and FX proved that the world of independent production is not merely limited to the silver screen, but is in fact a viable platform in which directors, writers and producers can showcase their original visions on the small screen.
Now in its second year the ITVFest stands poised to once again serve as catalyst for change in the ever-evolving television industry. Creativity is paramount at the ITVFest, and being based in Los Angeles, the hub of television production, the festival provides the people who need to see your work the opportunity to do so.
The second annual ITVFest will be held at Los Angeles’s historic Raleigh Studios in July 2007.
As Executive Director AJ Tesler explains, ITVFEST “will allow people who have previously had little or no access to television decision makers the forum for which they have tirelessly strived.” ITVFEST is an opportunity for the dreamers to take time off from their day-jobs, stop waiting for the phone to ring, and take their careers into their own hands.
The Evolution Will Be Televised.

ITVF announces first ever Web Series competition
Continuing its innovative spirit, the Independent Television Festival is pleased to announce the first ever Web Series Competition.
A Web Series is a collection of webisodes, short form entertainment made specifically for the web.
The Web Series competition supports that idea and ushers in the future of entertainment. As more and more people turn into internet video sites for their doses of entertainment, the ITVF will be there to provide those making top notch serial shows for the web the opportunity to be seen by television professionals seeking the next important voice.
