La Sélection officielle 2020 du Festival de Cannes au Festival International de Busan
Après Deauville, San Sebastián, Lyon, Rome et avant le retour du Festival sur la Croisette à la fin du mois d’octobre, les films de la Sélection officielle 2020 sont présentés au Festival International du Film de Busan, en Corée du Sud, plus grand Festival de cinéma d’Asie.
Après avoir voyagé au travers des festivals européens tout au long de cette rentrée, les films de la Sélection officielle et de Cannes Classics 2020 du Festival de Cannes font étape en Asie. Vingt-quatre films issus de ces sélections sont présentés en Corée du Sud, à Busan, du 21 au 30 octobre 2020.
Septet: The Story of Hong Kong de Ann Hui, Johnnie To, Tsui Hark, Ringo Lam, Sammo Hung, Yuen Woo-ping et Patrick Tam sera projeté ce soir, lors de la cérémonie d’ouverture du Festival.
Le Festival de Cannes se réjouit de cette collaboration et de sa présence en Corée du Sud, pays dont la cinématographie tient une place majeure sur la Croisette. Parasite, de Bong Joon-ho avait remporté la Palme d’or du Festival de Cannes en 2019, avant de triompher lors de la cérémonie des Oscars.

The Festival de Cannes Official Selection 2020
at the Busan International Festival

|
After Deauville, San Sebastian, Lyon, and Rome, and before the Festival returns to the Croisette at the end of October, the films of the 2020 Official Selection are presented at the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea, the largest festival of its kind in Asia.
After touring European festivals throughout the autumn, the films in the Festival de Cannes Official Selection and Cannes Classics 2020 will make a stopover in Asia. Twenty-four films from these selections are presented in South Korea, in Busan, from 21 to 30 October 2020.
Septet: The Story of Hong Kong by Ann Hui, Johnnie To, Tsui Hark, Ringo Lam, Sammo Hung, Yuen Woo-ping and Patrick Tam will be screened tonight at the Festival’s opening ceremony.
The Festival de Cannes is delighted with this collaboration and its presence in South Korea, a country whose film industry holds a major place on the Croisette. Parasite, by Bong Joon-ho won the Palme d'or at the 2019 Festival de Cannes, before triumphing at the Oscars ceremony.
