Bollywood conquiert CannesGrand absent des sélections cannoises depuis le début de la manifestation, le cinéma populaire indien produit par les studios de Bollywood font enfin leur apparition cette année sur la Croisette avec un film présenté en Sélection Officielle Hors Compétition Devdas de Sanjay Leela Bhansali et une mini rétrospective consacrée à Raj Kapoor, l’un des cinéastes et acteurs de Bombay les plus actifs et les plus célèbres. Seront montrés à Cannes : Aag (1948), Barsaat (1949) et Awaara le vagabond (1951). |
