Un Certain Regard 2012 a proposé 20 films réalisés par 26 réalisateurs venus de 17 pays différents.
Quatre d’entre eux sont des premiers films.
Présidé par Tim ROTH (acteur, réalisateur) le Jury était composé de Leïla BEKHTI (actrice), Sylvie PRAS (responsable des cinémas - Centre Pompidou Paris, directrice artistique du Festival de la Rochelle), Tonie MARSHALL (réalisatrice, productrice) et Luciano MONTEAGUDO (critique - Pagina/12 - Buenos Aires).

Aux côtés de la Compétition, la sélection officielle Un Certain Regard accueille également un Jury qui décerne ses prix lors d’une cérémonie sur scène, salle Debussy, le samedi 26 mai.
Le Jury, présidé par l’acteur et réalisateur britannique Tim Roth est composé de cinq personnalités du cinéma qui composeront leur palmarès parmi les vingt films sélectionnés au Certain Regard.

Les cinéastes réunis au sein de l'ACID ont le plaisir de vous dévoiler quels films l'Association du Cinéma Indépendant pour sa Diffusion présentera cette année à Cannes, du 17 au 26 mai.
Pour cinq sur neuf de ces longs métrages, il s'agira d'une première projection mondiale, et pour deux autres d'une première française.
Six — soit les deux tiers de la programmation — sont des premiers longs.

En 2012, grande nouveauté ! Pour leur 24ème édition, les Rencontres Cinémas d’Amérique Latine de Toulouse changent de nom !
Toujours organisée par l’ARCALT (Association Rencontres Cinémas d’AmériqueLatine de Toulouse) la manifestation s’appelle désormais :CINÉLATINO, Rencontres de Toulouse et aura lieu du 23 mars au 1er avril 2012.

La 20ème édition du Festival est bien lancée ! L'équipe artistique a été renforcée, rajeunie et féminisée pour donner le ton d'un anniversaire orienté vers l'avenir et sans aucune nostalgie. Cette équipe tourne depuis plusieurs mois (Cartagena, Rio, Guadalajara, Buenos Aires...) pour identifier les films que l'on vous proposera à Biarritz. Désormais c'est Cannes qui se prépare avec de nombreuses rencontres et découvertes.

Registation is open to participate in the 5rd International Short Film Festival to take place in Olavarría, Argentina; April 20th to 24th 2011. Film makers around the world are invited to participate with productions no longer than 25 minutes in the following categories: Fiction, Animation and Documentary.
The Festival will award $ 16,000 in prizes, and the works (free topic) will be received until December 3rd 2010.

Sophia is a young and beautiful journalist who gets her first job, covering a story in Dubai, thanks to her boyfriend and boss at a publishing house. When she arrives, she meets her driver, Carim, who starts to introduce her to Arab customs, but she wastes no time in corrupting their professional relationship by subjecting Carim to her wildest sexual desires. That is how Sophia reconsiders her troubled relationship with her partner. She risks her dream job opportunity tempted by a clandestine love affair that has no future.

a solid trajectory of 10 years, the BARS is an exciting space of encounter,
exhibition, presentation and projection of the fantastic cinema worldwide. Been
born in 2000 as a sample independent
cinema of genre, and from 2004 with the format of competitive festival, the
BARS is today an appointment forced for the lovers of the cinema and the public
eager to make contact with the new tendencies and applied technologies the
cinema and the audio-visual world.
