Germany has over 30 broadcasters that heavily invest in high-quality TV productions. German Film-Funds support Films with over 300 Million Euros a year. A very good basis to cooperate with very experienced German Film and TV Producers. The co-production workshop gives an overview over the German Film- and TV-landscape, stresses some basic questions regarding co productions and gives a case study of one very successful co-pro project in the field of documentary. Conference Hall (Floor -1) 14:00—15:00 Co-production Forum: “Co-production with Canada” Conference hosted by Mark Terry, President, Polar Cap Productions, Canada The co-production workshop will discuss all the available funding programs available by private and public agencies in Canada that non-Canadians can access. It will also provide an overview of all terrestrial, cable and digital television channels in Canada with a particular focus on their programming needs and submission requirements. The Federal and Provincial Tax Credit Programs here are of keen interest to outside producers. Government funds are made available to non-Canadians who shoot in Canada and use Canadian labor. It will also provide a DVD of all funding programs, their eligibility requirements and submission deadlines. Conference Hall (Floor -1) 15:30—18:00 Co-production Forum: “Co-production with India” Conference hosted by Javed Rehman Khan, Rakhshan Movies Network, India The Indian film industry has been one of the oldest segments of the Indian entertainment industry. Today, India has the world's biggest movie industry that churns out around one thousand movies each year. The Indian film Industry is witnessing mark improvements on all spheres- from the technology used in making films to the themes of the movies, exhibition, finance and marketing and even in its business environment. The co-production workshop will discuss opportunities of co-production with Indian producers.
