First held in 1969 and taking its name from the traditional crop grown in the region, the Altin Koza (Golden Boll) Film Festival is held in Adana, a city located along Turkey's Mediterranean coast.

The Adana Altin Koza Film Festival has been reaching new heights each year by continually enriching its program and further widening the door opening onto world cinema.
Organized by the Adana Municipality , the film festival has to date included full-length feature films along with nationally produced short films and student films, thus providing considerable support to these efforts.

Beginning from 2008, a decision was made to broaden the scope of the festival to an international dimension within the framework of Mediterranean countries.

The flourishing Jameson CineFest will celebrate its 8th edition in September 2011, housing in a new cultural complex House of Arts. Each year, after a careful pre-selection, the top 15-20 features and 40-50 shorts, documentaries and animation films have the opportunity to compete in the official program. Most of the films came from Central Europe, from the US and Germany, but we received films from Indonesia to South America. Our CineClassics series started in 2010: explore with us Hungary's exceptionally rich film heritage: Oscar winner British screenwriter Emeric Pressburger was born in Miskolc, legendary founder of Paramount PicturesAdolph Zukor in the nearby village Ricse, 20th Century-Fox founder William Fox in Tolcsva, in the heart of the renowned Tokaj wine region, just to name a few.  The 2009 conference dedicated to Emeric Pressburger (with the participation of his Oscar winner grandson Kevin Macdonald), and the 2010 workshop about Zoltan Korda was a true gem.

IN THE PALACE is an International festival dedicated to short films under 45 minutes in length. It is held annualy in the late June in the Black Sea town of Balchik.
