Organized by The World Mass Media Research Foundation and supported by Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Cankaya Municipality, 23rd. Ankara International Film Festival will take place between 15 – 22nd March. The festival is preparing to scare the audiences out of their seats with its midnight screenings.
Midnight screening programme is consisting of 4 short and 1 feature films:
The Awakening
Year 1921. England is trying to be relieved after the First World War. In the middle of the war trauma, everybody believes in paranormal activities. Florence Carthcart, who is an experienced woman on catching the ghosts, troubleshooting to the frauds and removing the false news, goes to a boarding school upon a complaint. According to the information that she got, there are ghosts rambling around the school. Firstly, she thinks that this case is as same as before; however, all her beliefs and knowledge will become reversed by these ghosts and other invisible creatures make her to feel them.
Employee of the Month
Stéphanie assists and leads the unemployed to find a new job. When these unemployed are such mythical personages as vampires, witches or fairies, showing them the way promises to be treacherous.

Thirty years after a zombie outbreak, people have started taming and using the zombies as cheap workforce. The young couple, Katrine and Mark, struggle with the tidies everyday life of dirty zombie catching, bloody lobotomy experiments and a relationship on the verge of falling apart.

2010 Village of the Damned; Best Film Zombies, vampires, unexpected guests, blood-minded murderers… They also have few words to say. The weirdest pieces of the horror/thriller films that invite us to the darkness will be screened at Bati Cinema on 16 March Friday at 23:59.
