"To celebrate the 20th Irish and British Film Festival that took place in Cherbourg from 5th to 12th April 2005, Eicar film school and Cinergie Productions have organised an international competition for short films from film universities. (Each school was allowed 5 shorts max)
From 80 entries, 15 shorts have be screened at the closure of the 20th Irish and British Film Festival in Cherbourg. Their film will then be streamed on the filmfestivals.com, the festival website and Eicar and Cinergie websites as well as Cherbourg festival website"

All films complied with the following technical conditions :
- Maximum length of 5 to 10 minutes
- Format to be used (DV, DV Cam, Beta, system PAL)
- French or English subtitles where necessary
- Be accompanied by a synopsis
Each school could present up to 3 to 5 films maximum. Besides the 20th Irish and British Film Festival in Cherbourg the program of the Fast Track for Student Films will also be screened in other festivals in France and abroad such as Caen les 5 jours tout courts and Trouvile Off Courts, Cannes.

Blind Spot (Blinda Fläckar) :
A violent car accident, a woman - Johanna - survives but her husband and
daughter die in the crash. Johanna represses everything and she goes
straight to her friend Cissi for dinner. When Cissi, through a phone call,
gets to know what happened, she tries to get Johanna to remember.
A short film about friendship, honesty and to get your dreams destroyed in a
few seconds.
