Georges Cravenne died at the age of 94 in France last saturday.
He was born in Tunisia (Kairouan) january 24, 1914.
He was the founder in 1975 of "l'Académie des arts et techniques du cinéma" and of the annual Cesar Award ceremony in 1976, which is based on the Oscar odel, with 3600 voting members in the french industry
He had also initiated the "Molière" Awards (for theatre play annual awards ceremony) and "les 7 d'Or" for television.
Next Cesar will pay an homage on the 34th ceremont due to take place friday 27 february 27th, 2009.
