Milan, July 2, 2012 - With more than 100 films selected from more than 4,000 received from 104 countries, the I'VE SEEN FILMS International Film Festival provides one of the largest and more innovative celebrations to film and culture.
The Festival's organization would like to thank all the authors who have so enthusiastically accepted this challenge. The artistic quality of these works far exceeds the most positive expectations.
The 2012 I'VE SEEN FILMS will run in Milan for ten days, from October 10th to 19th, in the following venues: Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia-Lombardy Branch, Institut Francais of Milan, and Spazio Oberdan where the Gala Award Evening will take place on October 19. Masterclasses and film events will, as usual, complete the Festival's enticing cultural offerings to film lovers.
I'VE SEEN FILMS invites you to choose your favourite ones amongst feature films and short films, documentaries, animations and experimental works, primarily by emerging directors, with some titles by more established international filmmakers.
We also feature thorny issues such as the world economic crisis, the unemployment problem, Earth's pollution, recycling of raw materials and sustainable development, immigration, the war, family conflicts and violence against women and children. All are very peculiar works, with high artistic value, coming from all over the world.
I'VE SEEN FILMS relies on a Jury formed by notable artistic talents and experts of the cinematography sector. The 2012 Jury members, including the Festival's founder Rutger Hauer (NL), are:Bill Bristow (UK), Joan Chen (CINA), Jason Eisner (USA), Rossella Farinotti (ITA), Robert Harmon (USA), Valerio Moggia (ITA), Giuseppe Pizzo (ITA), Robert Rodriguez (USA) e Gino Schiona (ITA).
