We like to remind you that the deadline to submit a film to the 10th edition of Final Cut in Venice will be Monday, June 20th.
Don't miss out on the opportunity to present your film at this prestigious workshop, which will take place from 3rd to 5th September, 2022, as part of the Venice Production Bridge, during the 79. Venice International Film Festival.
The Venice Production Bridge launched Final Cut in Venice ten years ago to provide concrete assistance in the completion of films from all African countries and Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria; and offer producers and directors an opportunity to present films still in the production phase to International film professionals and distributors in order to facilitate post-production and promote co-production partnerships and market access.
The quality of the program is underlined by the fact that most of the projects are selected in A-Festivals afterwards.
To name but a few of the most recent titels, Under the Fig Trees by Erige Sehiri has been selected for the Quinzaine des Realisateurs in 2022.
The Sea Ahead by Ely Dagher, that won the Premio La Biennale di Venezia at Final Cut in Venice 2020, was selected at Quinzaine des Réalisateurs in 2021, while We, Students! by Rafiki Fariala was greatly acclaimed in the Panorama section at Berlinale 2022.
Final Cut in Venice will conclude with the awarding of prizes in kind or in cash, the purpose of which is to provide economic support for the post-production phase of the films.
The following is the list of prizes:
