The programme of the National Competition of the 13th Odesa International Film Festival has been announced
The National competition programme of the 13th Odesa International Film Festival will be held within the framework of the Warsaw International Film Festival under the name "Odesa-Warsaw: Ukrainian Competition". It included 11 feature films:
“A RISING FURY” showcases the front lines of a growing conflict between Ukraine and Russia to witness firsthand a war that is tearing country and family apart.
This story is about coming of age and encountering cruel reality. And it is about childhood that continues despite war.
Maksym Nakonechnyi’s feature debut is a harsh and all-too-timely testimony to the warriors of Ukraine and the women fighting for their integrity, their freedom, their future.
Marta, the film’s director, faces her fears and digs into the realm of her estranged sister Nastia, a Greek-Catholic nun, to re-evaluate the world they both were brought up in.

A young couple is torn from the world for one long night in a hotel room in a town near the border. That night they agreed not to talk about the war. Completely lost in each other' s small world, they don't realize when the morning comes and force them to go back to reality.
Tymofii is a little pickpocket. He lives his normal life until he suddenly falls in love with the next on the lady station officer at the Teatralna station.
In the mid-90s, a provincial town. At the disco Andriy, an 18-year-old boy, meets his classmate Zhenya, who moved to Israel a few years ago. That same night, Zhenya disappears, and all suspicion falls on Andriy, who returns home in Zhenya's sneakers. Zhenya's father is a local criminal authority and independently begins the search for a son.
On the eve of Easter, an icon depicting the Ethiopian Mother of God enters a Ukrainian village. After the icon is noticed by regular parishioners, a conflict begins between the young priest and his flock. Peasants do not agree to have a dark-skinned Mother of God in the church.
