Angela Molina received the Spanish Golden Medal

                                       

Spanish actress Angela Molina received early this week the Golden Medal Award (Medalla de Oro 2013).

 This is an award given by the Spanish Academy of Arts and Sciences to honor a lifetime achievement career. “For being a key and essential face in the Spanish cinematography and having developed a long career, still on, in Spain and worldwide.”

 Over 40 years acting since she was discovered by Luis Buñuel Angela Molina has filmed with the best directors such as Jaime Chávarri, Manuel Gutiérrez-Aragón, José Luis Borau or Bigas Luna and Pablo Berger, who gave her a wonderful role as Snowhite´s Grandma which supposed her last nomination to the Goya Awards last year.

 Five times nominee to the Goyas she also won different awards David di Donatello, San Sebastian Golden Shell, la Medalla de Oro al Mérito en las Bellas Artes, Great Prize from Critics of New York, several Fotogramas de Plata and Silver Spike at SEMINCI.

 Angela Molina dedicated her new award, Medalla de Oro, to her colleagues “without you I wouldn´t be here” in a gala in Madrid where she was with Enrique Gonzalez Macho, President of the Spanish Academy, family and friends.
