AFM19: Ruby Rose, Jamie Bell Monster Zone

JAMIE BELL AND RUBY ROSE VOICE CRANSTON ACADEMY: MONSTER ZONE

Double Dutch International (DDI) CEO Jason Moring announced today that BAFTA winning actor Jamie Bell (ROCKETMAN, SKIN, FILMS STARS DON’T DIE IN LIVERPOOL) and award-winning actress Ruby Rose (THE MEG, Batwoman) are attached to voice animated feature CRANSTON ACADEMY: MONSTER ZONE.

Currently in post-production, CRANSTON ACADEMY: MONSTER ZONE is penned by Carl Bunker and Bob Barlen (ESCAPE FROM PLANET EARTH, THE NOT JOB 2: NUTTY BY NATURE), an Anima production (ANA & BRUNO, TOP CAT THE MOVIE, HERE COMES THE GRUMP) with Prime Focus LEGO NEXO KNIGHTS, MARIAH CAREY’S ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS, HERE COMES THE GRUMP) in association with Fifth Dimension Films, directed by Leopoldo Aguilar (MONSTER ISLAND) and produced by Fernando De Fuentes, José C. García de Leton and Greg Gavanski.

Scheduled for fall delivery, CRANSTON ACADEMY: MONSTER ZONE is the story of Danny and Liz, two rival geniuses attending a secret school for child prodigies. Danny, wanting to prove that he is the smartest of them all, inadvertently opens a portal to another dimension and unleashes a slew of monsters on the school. Liz must put their rivalry aside and help Danny together with a half-moth, half-man professor aptly nicknamed Mothman, to overcome the creatures of the 5th dimension and save the school.

“Having such amazing actors be part of our project makes us feel even more excited about it. We are sure that the audiences will love Jamie's maverick character and Ruby's cool version of Liz”, adds José C. García de Letona, producer of the film.

“We are big fans of Jamie and Ruby. They are incredible actors with a truly wide and inclusive fan base” says Moring of DDI. “Having them lend their voices to this fun animated adventure will be sure to draw audiences around the world”

Greg Gavanski, producer from Prime Focus, adds: “We are very excited to work with two such illustrious stars as Jamie and Ruby on the show. Having this great voice talent, combined with the top-class animation, will really enable us to tell the story in a way we can be proud of.”

Bell is represented by Artists Independent Management, UTA and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern; Rose by art2perform, UTA and Hirsch, Wallerstein, Hayum, Matlof and Fishman.

DDI’s AFM’19 line-up includes THE DOORMAN starring Ruby Rose and Jean Reno, GIRL starring Bella Thorne and Mickey Rourke, VILLAIN starring Craig Fairbrass and THE VIRTUOSO starring Anthony Hopkins.
