A Prehistoric Slasher Film As Only A Teenage Girl Could Write, Produce & Direct!

Featuring Kato Kaelin and Kadeem Hardison

"I grew up watching movies like The Toxic Avenger, Class of Nuke 'Em High, and Tromeo & Juliet and now only a few years later I have my own film coming out with Troma! It's surreal! Troma's genre-bending, cartoonish humor shaped me into the filmmaker I've become!" ~ Kansas Bowling

Greetings from Tromaville! In the course of Troma's 40 year history, the production company has worked hard to foster young talent in independent film: Vincent D'Onofrio, Samuel L. Jackson, Trey Parker, James Gunn, Dylan Greenberg, Bernie Sanders and many more. Starting in 2016, Troma will now be supporting new, even younger talent, promoting high school-aged filmmakers through its upcoming "Troma Institute of Gifted Youth". The first release from this program will be Kansas Bowling's BC BUTCHER.

17 year old Kansas Bowling, writer/director of BC BUTCHER

Displaying talent and imagination that far surpass her seventeen years, Ms. Bowling offers up this first of it's kind prehistoric slasher flick that has to be seen to be believed. The film, executive produced by Troma President and creator of the Toxic Avenger Lloyd Kaufman, features amputations, disembowelment, psychedelic dreams, cute cave chicks, Kato Kaelin in a loin cloth, and a punk rock band playing guitars made out of watermelons, and all from the brilliant mind of this charismatic young director. BC BUTCHER truly has something for everyone!

Shot entirely on 16mm film, the movie comes from a script written by Ms. Bowling and her high school friend Kenzie Givens and can be described as a potent mix between The Toxic Avenger, One Million Years BC, and Rock & Roll High School

Natasha Halevi as Anaconda, femme fatale of the Paleolithic era

After a group of contemptuous cavewomen torture and kill one of their own over a romantic betrayal, a disfigured loner, known only as The Butcher (Dwayne Johnson (not The Rock)), discovers and falls deeply in love with the mutilated corpse. He then proceeds on a bloody path of revenge, picking off the sexy murderers one by one.

The film is narrated by Kadeem Hardison (A Different World, Troma's Def by Tempation) and features Kato Kaelin (BASEketball) alongside a host of up-and-coming actresses including: Leilani Fideler (Pretty Little Liars), Parker Love Bowling, Natasha Halevi, Devyn Leah, Molly Elizabeth Ring, and Miranda Robin.

The film also boasts cameo appearances by Duck-Duck and Rodney Bingenheimer, California's KROQ DJ, who lovingly refers to BC BUTCHER as the "prehistoric Manson girls."

Featuring a rock & roll soundtrack from The Ugly Kids, BC BUTCHER looks to become the definitive tongue-in-cheek horror film set in the Paleolithic era. Troma is excited to share BC BUTCHER with the world in early 2016!

*************

Established in 1974 by Yale friends Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz, Troma Entertainment is arguably the longest-running independent movie studio in North America, and it's one of the very few genuine brand names in the industry. World famous for movie classics like Kaufman's "The Toxic Avenger", Trey Parker's "Cannibal, the Musical", "Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead", "Class of Nuke 'em High", Charles Kaufman's "Mother's Day" and "Tromeo & Juliet", Troma's seminal films are now being remade as big-budget mainstream productions by the likes of Brett Ratner, Richard Saperstein, Akiva Goldsman and Steven Pink. Early work of many of today's luminaries  can be found in Troma's library of 1000 films, cartoons, TV shows and shorts. Jenna Fischer, Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Kevin Costner, Fergie, Vincent D'Onofrio, Samuel L. Jackson, James Gunn and Eli Roth are just a few. Troma's latest in house productions are "Return to Nuke 'Em High: Volumes 1 & 2". Troma's Blu-rays, DVDs, books, t-shirts and movie merchandise can be purchased at Tromashop.
