The First Annual Red Bull Music Academy Festival New York 2014 (RBMANY14) LARRY LEVAN STREET PARTY with DJ artist François Kevorkian (François K), Paradise Garage former opening DJ David DePino, backup DJ Joey Llanos and special guest dance music recording artist Jocelyn Brown commenced Sunday, May 11, 2014, 12:00pm – 6:00pm on King Street, NYC, the original block of the Paradise Garage dance venue. The extraordinary historical outdoor event paid tribute to the legendary Paradise Garage resident DJ LARRY LEVAN (1954-1992) and to initiative co-name of King Street, NYC, to Larry Levan Way. By noon, with over one thousand people at the block party, David DePino hit the deck and opened with E2-E4 by Manuel Göttsching. With only fifteen minutes into DePino’s DJ set, the event became an overwhelming show stomping success. At approximately 3:00pm, it reached maximum capacity with 20,000 people and 3,000 waiting to get in.

Jocelyn Brown's live performance paid tribute to Larry, to the Garage and to the people. The diva truly made sure we experienced church! Her performance included iconic hits I'm Caught Up (In A One Night Love Affair), It's Alright, I Feel It, Somebody Else's Guy, Ain't No Mountain High Enough and Believe.
