The East Coast inaugural Web 2.0 Conference Exposition (Web2.0 Expo) was held at Javits Center, New York, September 16-19, 2008. Web 2.0 Expo, co-produced by TechWeb and O'Reilly Media, annually showcase globally Web 2.0 Internet technologies by industry innovators creating the next generation World Wide Web. The East Coast inaugural included keynote presentations, over 80 sessions, special programs, conferences, seminars, panel discussions, workshops, exhibit hall, special events, and industry parties.

Web 2.0 Expo "Web Analytics 2.0: Rethinking Decision Making in a 2.0 World" Media & Marketing conference presented by author/consultant/founder Avinash Kaushik, "Web Analytics An Hour a Day," Google, Inc., Market Motive, Inc., commenced on Wednesday, September 17, 1:20 PM. Kaushik successful presentation was standing room only. Kaushik brilliantly demonstrated Google's online application Web Analystics 2.0 practical tips and tricks, along with specific examples using qualitative and quantitative data to gain a customers  experience on the web. A special Q&A with Kaushik preceded the book release and signing of "Web Analytics An Hour a Day, " in the expo hall during Interop/Web 2.0 Expo.

Web 2.0 Expo, "Disruption in the Music Industry," Landscape & Strategy conference session presented by CEO Ali Partovi and President Hadi Partovi, iLike, Inc., (a Rhapsody partner) commenced on Wednesday, September 17,
PM Session. The outstanding Partovi brothers discussed the challenges and opportunities in the music industry; from free file sharing competitors, unbundled albums, digital sales trend, to the Internet web 2.0 technologies. The outstanding session introduced iLike, the largest web music service provider featuring live music personalization, syndication, concert tools, video streaming, and mobile streaming. iLike runs GarageBand.com. It offers musicans and labels a Universal Artist Dashboard: Myspace, Facebook, Bebo, hi5, Orkut; sidebar plugins for iTunes, and Windows Media Player.

Web 2.0 Expo “Leveraging the Clouds for Reliable Web Applications” sponsored session presented by Thorsten von Eicken, Right Scale, Inc., commenced on Wednesday, September 17, PM Session. Thorsten von Eicken successfully discussed the challenges and opportunities of Cloud Computing technology as the new online Cloud Computing providers offering options beyond traditional web hosting providers. The session included a cloud computing provider infrastructure overview build and deployment case study.
