First Sino-European Production Seminar (EFM Asia).Wednesday, 17th February 2016 the European Film Market and Bridging the Dragon in cooperation with Movie View will organise the first Sino-European Production Seminar for selected European producers who are developing feature film projects with China. The programme will be an in-depth 'immersion day' consisting of interactive working sessions on how to approach the Chinese film market and will cover practical aspects of working with Chinese industry professionals. Confirmed experts include Fang Li (Laurel Films), Luke Xiang (WeYing), Ben Erwei Ji (Reach Glory Media & Entertainment Group), Natacha Devillers (China Blue Films), Charles Lei (Thunder Communications International), Ben Zhang (Alibaba Pictures Group), A Lang (Movie View Magazine) and Sisi Wu (Jetavana Entertainment). Matthijs Wouter Knol, EFM Director: "Berlin is a place to focus and find new ideas. With the Sino-European Production Seminar we are very happy to offer European producers a possibility to get the latest insights and learn from potential key Chinese partners. As an international platform for the film industry, the EFM is a good place for both European and Chinese industries to compare trends, connect with each other and strengthen bonds at the beginning of the Year of the Monkey.“ The sessions will range from expert talks to case studies, covering topics such as who's who in the Chinese film industry, recent updates on Chinese market, case study on European-Chinese coproductions, dealing with SARFT and the censorship, packaging and financing structure of Chinese films/co-productions with China, creative marketing and distribution in the internet age, as well as the Chinese audience today and tomorrow. The Sino-European Production Seminar will be a place for attendees to learn, connect and expand their network. See programme & experts bios below for further information. The European Film Market (www.efm-berlinale.de), a film trade fair held simultaneously to the Berlinale, is a major industry meeting for the international film circuit. Bridging the Dragon (www.bridgingthedragon.com) is an association connecting European and Chinese film professionals by organising events at major international film festivals, providing networking opportunities and offering consultancy to its members about producing between Europe and China. Movie View is one of the major film magazines in China and in 2015 established Movie View International to provide Chinese film professionals with first-rate service of international marketing, distribution and film festival PR. 10.02.2016 | Berlin's blog
