Cannes Film Festival to Partner with Argintinian INCAA Film InstituteCannes Festival and Marche du Film have announced a deal to partner with Argentina's INCAA film institute on a major new Latin American film market and confab named Ventana Sur (or South Window). The partnership is part of a move to export the Cannes brand and expertise abroad. The Ventana Sur will run Nov. 27-30 in Buenos Aires and will feature 50-60 screenings of new Latin American films as well as a meeting place for producers and a digital library of 200-300 films.
For Argentina, 2008 was a successful year at the festival where many films, although not award winners, gained much attention. The festival aims to increase the access to distributions and exhibitions for these high quality Latin American filmmakers. Both film festival directors and Argentinean filmmakers are very excited about the collaboration. 17.05.2009 | Cannes's blog Cat. : Argentina's INCAA film institure Buenos Aires Buenos Aires Cannes Cannes Festival Cannes Film Festival Cannes Film Festival Cannes Film Festival CDATA Entertainment Entertainment Film festival Latin America Marche the Cannes Ventana Sur
