"Kristina of Sweden" for world sales

The Yellow Affair has joined forces with Anagram Film, Marianna Films, Triptych Media, Starhaus Filmproduktion and Arsam International to represent the upcoming film KRISTINA OF SWEDEN for world sales.

The announcement of world sales follows the introduction of Swedish production company Anagram Film - coming in as the last piece of the coproduction puzzle.

Veteran director Mika Kaurismäki, who will direct the film, is delighted with the arrival of the newcomers. ‘We’re very happy to have both Anagram and The Yellow Affair onboard. Both companies have great integrity and everyone has a shared vision for the film.’

Set in 17th century, KRISTINA OF SWEDEN paints the portrait of a young extravagant and atypical queen who was the ruler of her country from age seven until her startling abdication at age 28. Kaurismäki: ‘This is not intended to be a traditional epic costume piece but more an actor-driven, psychological drama about one of the most interesting and mysterious personalities of all time’

The 10 million USD film will be shot in Sweden and Germany early 2013. Now that Kaurismäki has found his Queen, Swedish rising star Malin Buska, the rest of casting can be wrapped up. The key star cast will be annouced shortly.

For more information regarding world sales contact Miira Paasilinna miira@yellowaffair.com or Chris Howard chris@yellowaffair.com. During the Cannes Film Festival Miira and Chris can be located at the Scandinavian Terrace, La Croisette 55.
