Emma (8) wants to learn how to communicate with Usoa, a little girl who died of the plague and whose spirit has been trapped inside a derelict chapel for centuries. Emma tries to convince Carol (46), a fake, non-believing medium, to help her. If she can learn to talk to Usoa, she will be able to talk to her sick mother after she dies. What Carol doesn't realise, however, is that Emma really can communicate with the dead. She has the gift, but if she continues to use it without knowing how to control it, she will be putting her life in danger.

A TREE IS A TREE
by Carlos Marqués-Marcet and Aleix Plademunt
Production companies | Lastor Media, Suica Films, AXfilms
Sun 21 | 11.45h | Riviera 2

Human are a plague. We are the specie with the strongest colonizing longing of our planet. ‘A Tree Is a Tree’ is a journey between the most unspoiled piece of land on the planet and the oldest tree in the world. In the film the images talk to who watches. The spectator is the object. The pictures the subject. A no human voice tell us that what we see is so partial that it barely close to reality.
