9:30am One Step Forward, Two Steps Back?
With this panel of industry change-makers, we will take stock of meaningful progress on equal opportunities in film. The newly relaunched Framework of Action on Gender Equality in the Audiovisual sector in Europe reaffirms the commitment of broadcasters, producers and trade unions in the sector to driving progress, but is change happening on the ground? Is the culture really shifting? We ask our panellists to share what is actually making a difference to opportunities for women in the sector and what is still holding them back.

10.15am Vulnerability and Dignity: Talking About Intimacy Coordination
Sexual harassment, sexual and sexist violence, workplace safety and dignity: these issues leapt into focus in the film sector in the wake of #MeToo. Different support and health and safety provisions have been developed in response, with intimacy-coordination becoming one of the most talked-about. What is it and how does protect all film workers involved in scenes with nudity and simulated intimacy? We ask our panellists to share their views on an emerging profession and workplace practice.

This conference will be accompanied by simultaneous English/French interpretation.

Today, documentary films are on the move. Films have been awarded prizes and recognised in most of prestigious festivals. Some of them are giving this films a higher profile in their programs. Documentary films are also being promoted by specialised festivals throughout the world. Thus, festivals promote & support a booming cinema to a curious and enthusiastic public. The challenge today is to transform this increased interest in documentary cinema into a real attraction as much for the distribution and exhibition circuits as for the cinema-goers.

Additionally, the panel will present Ukraine's vision for the 'digital society 2030' and its approach to cyber and civil resilience, showcasing the significance of DiiA in maintaining Ukrainian society's strength and resilience and its global importance for Europe.

Learn how outside partners can contribute and collaborate with DiiA, and how the world can support Ukraine's priorities. Explore the avenues for aid and support, from partnering with DiiA and digitizing creative heritage to fostering collaborations with Ukrainian companies and offering outsourcing opportunities. Discover existing projects and partnerships that have enabled new trust networks with Ukraine.

Moderated by Craig Forman, a global media and technology industry leader and former President and CEO of McClatchy Group, the panelists include Taras Shevchenko, Deputy Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, Kristen Davis, CEO Founder of CinqC, and Guy-Philippe Goldstein, Director of GPG Consulting. A special video message from Valeriya Ionan, Deputy Minister for Eurointegration, is also presented.
