Marché Magnet for New Exhibitors

exhibitors.jpg

This year’s Marché du Film looks to be more colorful than ever, with 39 companies exhibiting for the first time and several new countries represented, including Brunei, Algeria and Tunisia

Brunei Darussalam is represented through the sales company Origin Films, while other newcomers include 13 Films from the U.S., BE for Films from Belgium, Picture Tree International from Germany, Habanero Film Sales from Brazil, and South Africa’s Mannequin Films (read more on Cannes Connects with New Companies).

Altogether, 51 countries will participate this year through 330 exhibitors, from Portugal which has two entities in Cannes – ICA and Picture Portugal - to Indonesia whose Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy will be on hand. See the full list of exhibitors here.

Marina in the Marché

Located at the heart of the Marché, the Marina Showroom, a new budget venue, was successfully introduced last year, and has attracted new players. "We are very happy that the Marina Showroom is proving to be successful. We will welcome around twenty companies for the second edition, including a mix of U.S. and European sales companies," said Myriam Arab, the Marché Director Operations, Marketing and Sales.

The Doc Corner also functions as a mini market for companies operating in this growing sector.
