Pre-Cannes Screenings open next week

As preparations for the Cannes Marché du Film (July 6-15, 2021) get underway, the Pre-Cannes Screenings, which begin on June 21, are filling up. 2,500 buyers and festival programmers will be online to discover more than 700 films from around the world. Diversity is indeed in the spotlight, these films come from 85 countries and the genres are eclectic (dramas 32%, thrillers 20%, comedies 17%, documentaries 14%, animation 14%, horror 14%). The most represented countries are the USA (198 films), Europe (395 films) including France (78 films) and Asia (108 films). The Pre-Cannes Screenings take place on marchedufilm.online and are reserved for accredited buyers, distributors, streamers and festival programmers. The platform hosts the virtual booths of 190 sales agents and offers nearly 1,000 screenings, 80% of which are market premieres. The screenings are scheduled in the local time of each country. Secure streaming is provided by Cinando, in partnership with Shift72, with an even stronger protection afforded by the possibility to add a forensic watermark (NexGuard by Nagra) and the monitoring of the streaming sites (Blue Efficience).

The list of films, exhibitors and participants can be found on Cinando, PRE-CANNES tab.

For media inquiries or to ask for access to Cinando, please contact Margaux Tisseron at: mtisseron@festival-cannes.fr
