Tarantino will be honored at Next Capri Hollywood

Academy Award ® Winning writer/director/producer Quentin Tarantino will be honored with Capri Legend Award at the 13th Capri, Hollywood – Honda International Film Festival, it was announced today by Festival Chairman and producer Mark Canton (300, Spiderwick Chronicles, A Perfect Getaway, War of Gods, Fame) and Festival Director Pascal Vicedomini.

   

 

"Quentin Tarantino is one of Hollywood's most prolific talents, revered and respected by the entertainment industry and movie audiences worldwide," said Canton.  "His unconventional films have become part of the vernacular of pop culture and his presence is a great addition to Capri, Hollywood." Added  Vicedomini " Having Maestro Tarantino join our already stellar line-up reconfirms the fact that Capri Hollywood has become a major player on the international festival stage. We couldn't be more honored."

 

Tarantino has remained one of Hollywood's edgiest talents since the successes of his 1992 cult film Reservoir Dogs and the 1994 Cannes Film Festival Palme D'Or winner Pulp fiction which also earned him an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. His unique style of filmmaking has become synonymous with his name, producing a body of work that includes pop culture hits such as Kill Bill Volume I & II, Grindhouse, Jackie Brown, Deathproof and From Dusk Till Dawn.  Inglourious Basterds, Tarantino's latest film now in production, stars Brad Pitt and Capri, Hollywood Fest attendees Eli Roth, Cesar Winning actress Melanie Laurent , Daniel Bruhl and Michael Fassbender.

 

Along with Tarantino, among the top tier actors, producers, directors, writers and musical artists attending are Samuel L. Among the Capri, Hollywood scheduled film screenings: Baz Luhrmann's Australia, John Patrick Shanley's Doubt, Hurricane Season starring Forest Whitaker, I've Loved You For So Long starring Kristen Scott Thomas and The Brothers Bloom starring Adrien Brody, Rachel Weisz and Mark Ruffalo and the premiere episode of the new TV series Crash directed by Oscar-winning screenwriter Bobby Moresco.

 

The "13th Capri, Hollywood - Honda International Film Festival" is an international gathering from December 26th through January 2nd of films leading international actors, directors, producers and financiers.  It is produced by Pascal Vicedomini together with the Istituto Capri nel Mondo and Azienda Turismo di Capri, in association with Sangemini holding, Kimbo, Casino di Venezia and with the support of the General Department of Cinema of the Ministry of Culture and of the Councillorship of Tourism and Cultural Assets of the Region Campania, the Chamber of Commerce of Capri and with the patronage of the City of Capri and the Municipality of Anacapri.
