"Scrappy" will have its German premiere at the 41st Open Air Filmfest Weiterstadt in Weiterstadt, Germany on August 11th, 2017. Based on a Studs Terkel Humanities Award-winning poem by Donald G. Westlake, the film is helmed by his daughter, Dawn Westlake. "Scrappy" recounts a real-life anecdote from Don Westlake's childhood in which he had to stand up to the gun culture of the USA.

Filmed and edited by Pol Carrizo Vilarroig of Imatge Barcelona, "Scrappy" was scored by GC Johnson of Acoustic Labs. Johnson was a 2016 Peer Raben Music Award nominee at SoundTrack_Cologne in Germany for his 2015 collaboration with Westlake on her film "Through the Pane".
