17th Filmfest Hamburg with new Head of Protocol

Ruth Rockenschaub will be Head of Protocol at this year’s Filmfest Hamburg. The professional dubbing artist for animated cinema films and audio books, who also works as a radio presenter, singer and musician, is looking forward to her new challenge. The reason Rockenschaub humorously gives for her cooperation with Filmfest Hamburg is that “this was the one most suitable opportunity offered to me to express my many talents and my natural authority for such little money.” It remains a secret as to exactly which of her many skills she will surprise the guests at the opening event of Filmfest Hamburg with.

Ruth Rockenschaub has a command of seven German dialogues alongside the English and French languages. She is known to many as the perky, dark-haired presenter of the shrill press review within the NDR3 TV-magazine “Das!”. Rockenschaub’s comic talent also enthralled the fan communities of the NDR2 radio show “Soultrain” and the WDR TV-show “Rockpalast”, and her voice and linguistic styles gave shape to numerous characters in the animated cult trilogy “Werner”. When she is not busy recording for films or the audio books of Norddeutsche Blindenhörbücherei (lit.: North German Audio Book Library for the Blind), she sings and accompanies herself on the ukulele.
