2008 Digital Moviemaking Chicago Summer Camps for Youth and Teens

Chicago Filmmakers will be offering three, two-week Digital Moviemaking Camps this summer, 2008, for youth and teens during the months of June, July and August. Emphasizing video production as art, campers will enjoy bringing their imaginations to the screen as they learn about pre-production planning, story development, storyboarding, digital video cameras, lighting, sound, shot composition, digital editing, and even animation. These camps will provide hands-on, fun opportunities for campers to express themselves while developing their creative talents and building friendships through artistic collaboration.

The camps will take place at Chicago Filmmakers, 5243 N. Clark St., in the heart of the Andersonville neighborhood. Chicago Filmmakers is a 34 year-old not-for-profit media arts center that has been offering filmmaking classes to adults for over 30 years.

WHAT:

1. *Two-week Digital Moviemaking Camp for youth ages 10 - 13, June 16 - 27, 2008

2. *Two-week Advanced Digital Moviemaking Camp for youth and teens ages 12 - 15, July 21 - August 1, 2008

3. *Two-week Digital Animation Camp for teens ages 14 - 18, August 11 - 22, 2008
