26th annual KidFilm® Festival ready to kick on

The USA Film Festival's 26th annual KidFilm® Festival announces the schedule of events taking place Saturday,  January 23 and Sunday,  January 24, 2010 at the Angelika Film Center, 5321 E. Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, Texas.

 

KidFilm is the oldest and largest children's film festival in the United States, featuring an entertaining, educational, and diverse line-up of new and classic films for both children and adults, along with free books, DVDs, and prize packs.

 

This year's highlights include:

 

  • Tribute to children's book author/illustrator Mo Willems
  • 20th anniversary salute to Aardman Animations
  • 30th anniversary screening of The Muppet Movie, celebrating its recent induction

into the National Film Registry

  • Special sing-a-long screening celebrating the 70th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz

 

Kids will also receive a free Scholastic Storybook Treasures DVD with their KidFilm ticket (while supplies last).

Ticket Information:

Tickets are $3.00 per program for kids and adults ($2.50 for USA Film Festival members).  Tickets for all programs are available at the Angelika Film Center, upstairs lobby sales table, beginning at noon each day for that day's shows only.
