Crossroads Co-production Forum and Works in Progress


THESSALONIKI AGORA / MARKET, the industry activity of the Thessaloniki International Film Festival headed by Marie-Pierre Macia, is pleased to announce its awards.

I. The jury of the 7th Crossroads Co-production Forum, consisting of Roberto Olla, (Eurimages – Executive Director, France), Guillaume De Seille, (Arizona Films– Producer, France), Yorgos Tsourgiannis, (Horsefly Production – producer, Greece) grants the 2|35 co-production award (full post production image and sound) to the project:

VIRUS, Directed by: Angelos Frantzis, Produced by: Maria Tsigka, Argonauts Production, Greece

The producer of the winning project will also be granted a free accreditation for the PRODUCER’S NETWORK, Cannes Film Festival 2012 session.

II. The jury also grants the French CNC (CENTRE NATIONAL DU CINEMA ET DE L’ IMAGE ANIMÉE) Development award of 7.000 euro to the project:

THE COUCH, Directed by: Duccio Chiarini, Produced by: Fabrizio Mosca, Acaba Produzioni, Italy

III. The French development and consulting company INITIATIVE FILM headed by Isabelle Fauvel offers its services to the film project: VIRUS, Directed by: Angelos Frantzis, Produced by: Maria Tsigka, Argonauts Production, Greece and will follow its development for the next 6 months.

IV. SOFIA MEETINGS of the Sofia international Film Festival selects the project THE COUCH, Directed by: Duccio Chiarini, Produced by: Fabrizio Mosca, Acaba Produzioni, Italy to be presented in March 2012.

V. SCRIPT 2 FILM WORKSHOPS of the Mediterranean Film Institute (MFI) awards a scholarship to the film project HOLE IN THE WALL, Director: Hadar Morag, Producer: Elie Meirovitz, EZ Films, Israel / France

VI. GRAAL S.A & KODAK CINELABS GREECE awards for the second year one of the Works in Progress films presented in Thessaloniki Agora / Market during the 52nd Thessaloniki Intl Film Festival with in kind services and material in image post-production.

The jury, consisting of Nikolaj Nikitin, festival delegate for the Berlin Film Festival / Palic European Film Festival, Olimpia Pont Chafer, Head of Sales, Coproduction Office and Zinos Panayotidis, Managing Director, Rosebud, award the film:

WHEN I SAW YOU, Directed by: Annemarie Jacir, Produced by: Ossama Bawardi, Rami Yasin, Philistine Films, Jordan / Palestine
