Adelaide Film Festival Chairman Cheryl Bart announced today that the Premier of South Australia, the Hon Mike Rann has appointed three dynamic new members to the Board of the Adelaide Film Festival - Sue Maslin, Vivienne Skinner & Wayne Lewis.

Mr Wayne Lewis, founding member and director of Rising Sun Pictures, has been at the forefront, internationally, in the field of film visual effects and computer-generated animation.
Ms Sue Maslin is an award winning producer of feature films and documentaries. Sue produced Japanese Story, the most successful Australian feature film of 2003, winner of 8 Australian Film Institute Awards including Best Film
Ms Vivienne Skinner’s experience is in the field of film and major/special events. As senior adviser to Premier Carr, she has worked closely with the Sydney Festival and Sydney Writers festival and co-directed the Sydney Russian Film Festival.

Ms Bart said that the Board was thrilled to have this collective and extensive film and industry experience joining the Board which includes Bob Ellis and Mojgan Khadem and Andrew Bovell.

Ms Bart also acknowledged the outstanding contribution by outgoing board members whose terms have expired; Deputy Chair and Filmmaker Gabrielle Kelly, Producer/writer/director Denny Lawrence and Writers Week/ Festival of Ideas Executive Producer Rose Wight. The dedication and strategic foresight of the inaugural AFF board has been responsible for establishing the distinctive and vibrant AFF and its accompanying Investment Fund.

The next Adelaide Film Festival will be held 22 February to 4 March 2007.
