ComBOTS and fmx present, for the first time, awards for the best design works in 3D character animation - Award specification documents for graphics artists and studios are now available


Karlsruhe/Ludwigsburg (Germany), January 25, 2007. ComBOTS AG (ISIN: DE000CMBT111) and fmx - International Conference for Animation, Effects, Realtime and Content collaborate by establishing the "ComBOTS/fmx Award", to be staged for the first time in 2007. The award winners will be presented at the fmx/07 in Stuttgart in May. Graphics artists and studios can now request the detailed award specifications under www.combots.com/fmx-award. Up to the closing date on March 30, 2007 they can submit their entry of animated characters to compete for one of the attractive main prizes. The winner will be awarded a production contract for a ComBOTS Collection. Moreover, the winning works will be presented to all ComBOTS users.


The ComBOTS /fmx Award is aimed at the international 3D animation scene and is open to both studios and independent graphics artists or talented students at universities and academies. Detailed technical specifications regarding the works to be submitted are contained in the full award documentation kit. By the way: the award winners are not picked by a jury but by the visitors to the fmx/07 conference, Europe's leading congress for Digital Content, which this year is being staged for the twelfth time.
