DRY HUMOUR: Stand-Up Comedy for Flood Relief in Pakistan.

Monsoonal flooding in Pakistan this year has caused a massive humanitarian crisis. Perth's internationally credentialled, award winning and nation beating stand-up comedians are here to contribute in the only way they know how: By telling jokes.
They are calling their one-off fundraising show
DRY HUMOUR: Stand-Up Comedy for Flood Relief in Pakistan.

The people of Perth are invited to join Lukey Bolland, Laura Davis, Bonnie Davies, James De Leo, Andrea Gibbs, Jeff Hewitt, Janelle Koenig, Josh Makinda, John Robertson, Adam Peter Scott, Xavier Susai, Ben Sutton, Corey White, Emma Zammit and Werzel in a guilt free one-night stand of good karma and great laughs, in the intimate comforts of the Subiaco Arts Centre, Friday October 15th.

Sam Longley of Lazy Susan's Comedy Den, the show's co-producer along with compere Werzel Montague, said the show was not only a chance to give to a desperate cause but a great opportunity to see some of the finest young comics in the country in a state of premium match fitness. "Many of the acts on the bill are fresh back from tearing it up at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, or touring the greater U.K," he said.

Montague offered no apologies for the show's title. "DRY HUMOUR is probably not most appropriate or sensitive show title", he said, "but I think it sums up the comedian in response to humanity in need: We're full of compassion, but incapable of expressing it in a way that is practical, sensible or diplomatically sound."

Tickets are available now from BOCS (94841133 www.bocsticketing.com.au) with all sales going to the Red Cross Australia Pakistan Monsoon Floods Appeal.

For any further information or to arrange interviews, please call Werzel Montague on 0424786228.
