EEFF - Camden Crawl

The East End Film Festival and Camden Crawl join together to take over London later this year...

There will be no better place to be than the EEFF - Camden Crawl event this May Bank Holiday weekend

As part of our ten year anniversary celebrations in 2011, the East End Film Festival is pleased to announce a collaboration with the Camden Crawl, winner of Best Metropolitan Festival at the 2010 Festival Awards. With both festivals celebrating being a decade old, and having admired the cut of each other's jib for some time, we have decided to join together to make this the anniversary to end them all. We will be putting on two very special celebrity-curated film and music events at the Forge, one of Camden's newest and most exciting event spaces, during the Camden Crawl on the May Bank Holiday weekend...

This very special collaboraton will be taking place over the Bank Holiday weekend, (30 April - 1May), and will feature a different celebrity host each day introducing their favourite, handpicked films. Our hosts will also be curating a series of short film screenings in conjunction with live music by some of their favourite artists. This promises to be one of the highlights of both the Camden Crawl and the East End Film Festival, and will be the go-to destination for Londoners on the Bank Holiday weekend in 2011. We will be announcing more details very soon, so keep your eyes glued on the EEFF website for updates.

Launching the festival season each Spring, the Camden Crawl has quickly become renowned as the first to showcase the forthcoming year's most hotly tipped artists to sold out audiences since its inception at the height of Britpop in 1995. Relaunching in 2005 after an extended break, 2011 will mark the Camden Crawl's 10th birthday, and it will undoubtedly be their biggest and best yet. Previous performers at the Crawl include Hot Chip, Snow Patrol, The Yeah Yeahs, Plan B, The Klaxons, The XX and Florence and the Machine.

The Camden Crawl has grown from 5 venues and 20 artists to boast more than 50 venues and 250 artists and events in 2011. One ticket (available as a weekend pass or day ticket) is exchanged for a wristband and allows unlimited access to all of the Crawl venues, outdoor arenas, after show parties and daytime activities.
