We are delighted to have many Directors and Producers flying in to support their movies and we hope to have some great Q&A sessions.

We have lots of goodies on their way to Festival HQ and we will also be hosting some new Nintendo 3DS demo machines in the bar - come and see 3D without glasses!

There is a lot more to tell you, but for now here are some highlights of the festival,

YOUR DAYS ARE NUMBERED! - prepared to die on Sat 23 April?

Stand up mathematician, Matt Parker and comedian, Timandra Harkness got sick of reading ill-founded stories about how eating this or doing that was going to add six months to your life, or halve your risk of dying from something or other.

With a grant from the Wellcome Trust, they've done the research to bring you the definitive comedy show about dying. With the aid of the patented Death-O-Meter and audience participation, Timandra and Matt will help you laugh in the face of your own mortality.

"The funniest closed-loop complex integral routine I've ever seen - they'll have you rolling in the aisle like an infinitesimal disk of radius epsilon." Simon Singh

Think you're funny? - try our comedy night after the Royal Wedding!"

Join us at the Apollo Piccadilly on Fri 29 April to see London's finest stand up and sketch comedians in our post-wedding show. It promises to be full-on geek humour.

But also, we want you to bring your favourite gag and pop them in the 'bucket-o-laughs' - from which we will randomly pick and read out!

The evening is compered by festival favourite ROB DEB, the caped crusader of comedy!
The confirmed acts are:
JAMES KETTLE - an angry young man who also works for The Guardian
BEC HILL - described as ‘seriously spunky'
HELEN KEEN - who has been described as a ‘breathlessly enthusiastic novice science teacher'
ROBERT COMMISKEY - is American.

PROF. RICHARD WISEMAN at FOYLES - Free event

Bestselling psychologist Richard Wiseman unravels the science behind our beliefs in telepathy, clairvoyants, mediums, ghosts, and more...

Professor Richard Wiseman is clear about one thing: paranormal phenomena don't exist.

But in the same way that the science of space travel transforms our everyday lives, so research into telepathy, fortune-telling and out-of-body experiences produces remarkable insights into our brains, behaviour and beliefs.

His new book PARANORMALITY embarks on a wild ghost chase into this new science. Join us for a discussion from 6.30pm, Thu 28 April.
