Filmmaker Forum will be held September 26-28

Film Independent announced today that the fourth-annual Filmmaker Forum will be held September 26-28 at the Directors Guild of America. Film Independent’s Filmmaker Forum is a widely attended event, giving attendees access to some of the most innovative names in indie filmmaking, as well as the most useful information available on how to get your movie made, bought, sold, and marketed in today’s changing marketplace.

The 2008 Forum is sponsored by Kodak, SAGIndie, Sony Pictures Classics, Directors Guild of America, Adobe Systems, Inc., and IMDB.

Panelists for the 2007 Forum included industry experts Josh Braun (Submarine), Peter Broderick (Paradigm Consulting), Eugene Hernandez (Indiewire.com), Richard Klubeck (United Talent Agency), Linda Lichter (Lichter, Grossman, Nichols, Adler, and Goodman), Mark Pogachevsy (mPRm Public Relations), Rena Ronson (William Morris Independent), and John Sloss (Cinetic Media), as well as filmmakers Stephanie Allain (producer, Hustle and Flow), Gina Kwon (producer, Me and You and Everyone We Know), Rosanne Korenberg (producer, Half Nelson), and Rebecca Yeldham (producer, The Kite Runner). This year’s panelists will be announced shortly.

Anyone who purchases a pass is given access to an online forum that will be active before and after the event, providing an additional opportunity for networking with peers and experts. All those who wish to attend this year’s Forum can save now by buying a pass before July 31 for just $199 – a savings of more than $150.
