On May 22, Award Ceremonys, during which the Jury President, Quentin Tarantino, will announce the prizes to be followed by the international preview screening of a film. Fireworks will signal the start of the Award Party and then a live concert. Throughout the Awards Night, film fans will also be able to see or watch again all the films that were awarded a prize, as these will be screened in the Palais.

On May 23, all the films of the official selection (Compétition, Un Certain Regard, Cinéfondation, Courts-métrages) will be rescreened.
The Closing Ceremony is exclusively dedicated to the Palme d'Or. Festival will end with the screening of the film that won the prize the previous day. For the first time, the film's representatives will be greeted by the Festival Jury at the top of the steps. The screening includes arrangement of the best moments of the Cannes Festival 2004.
