Flake Short Film Festival, flake by the lake

FLAKE BY THE LAKE AWARD WINNING OUTDOOR SHORT FILM FESTIVAL AT EASTER

The award winning "Flake Film Festival" and AntFarm Productions present "FLAKE by the LAKE", Jindabyne's first outdoor cinema by holding a short film festival featuring the "BEST" 15 films entered into Australia's highest short film festival over the past 3 years (including some new films).

"The films we selected are the very best from a pool of films entered by talented local and international filmmakers. We are also screening some new and unseen films. There is a great mix of comedy, drama, documentary, animation and snow films," says festival founder Anthony Trovatello (Chook).

The festival will be held on Saturday 15 th April 2006 at the picturesque Banjo Paterson Park on Kosciuszko Rd in Jindabyne (NSW Snowy Mountains) as part of the town's Easter art celebrations throughout the long weekend.

Films start at 6:30pm and entry is $5 by donation, but this is not just a film festival says Chook "there will be live music from 3pm, food and drink stalls, amusement rides and even a fireworks display after the films. This is an exiting new event for Jindabyne which will have something for everyone from the kids to the grandparents and everyone else in between!"

Over the Easter weekend, Jindabyne is also hosting a variety of arts events such as the popular "sculpture by the lake" walk, Lions Club art show, a Quilters exhibition and Live Jazz and Blues at Horizons resort. The pristine lake Jindabyne offers great fishing this time of year aswell as smooth water for Water-skiing and wakeboarding, there are also many hiking and mountain bike trails you can take advantage of whilst you're here.

So gather the family, call your friends and come down to the park for an entertaining and fun afternoon for all. See you there!
