Martin Scorsese Masterclass in Cannes

Freshi Film Camp Hollywood is launching in July 2010

  "Discovering the Storyteller Within You!"

Freshi Films has presented summer camps fully supported by the International Family Film Festival, http://ifff.pmailus.com/pmailweb/ct?d=L5WqQwAzAAEAAAKaAAPg3g, for the past six years. Meeting the demands of past campers, Freshi Films has added a new element to the camp experience in 2010. The camps are now two weeks long with one week being an Acting Camp and one week being Filmmaking. Participating campers come from different states and from countries around the world come together to make this a unique and culturally diverse experience. This year a contingent of young actors and filmmakers will be attending from the People's Republic of China adding their culture and heritage to the experience. Campers can choose to take just one week or both weeks depending on their interest.

The Acting Camp is totally unique because the group that attends this camp will also have the ability to be the actors in the movies made in the Filmmaking camp. It will be a fully immersive experience. At the end of the week, each actor presents a portfolio piece to an audience of friends and family. Whether your goal is to become a professional actor, or to just learn critical communication and presentation skills, this class is for you! It is taught by professional actors and directors.

Freshi Film Camp has always been a five-day, fully immersive, hands-on experience in digital filmmaking that gives each participant a chance to work on a film crew and create their own films. Everyone works in a group where they start their project from conceiving an idea, building a script, creating a storyboard, location scouting, creating the world of the film, shooting, editing, scoring and finally presenting the finished films at the end of the camp to friends and family. Beginner and advanced levels are available, so any young filmmaker ages 8-18 will fit right in!
